Our Association received Aid from Emmaus Friesland Holland – On April 15, 2014, a truck with aid arrived in Bîrlad from the Emmaus Friesland Association in the Netherlands, it was unloaded during the following days at the headquarters of the Emmaus Friesland Romania Association in the Municipality of Bârlad, Vaslui county.
50 cubic meters of goods were brought for the poor children, the campaign being called “A new beginning in life”.
The humanitarian aid received from the Netherlands was sorted in Bârlad and then delivered to those in need. The aid received was distributed in a targeted manner and then delivered to the poorest families in the villages around Bârlad. Thus, together with our friends from the Netherlands, we distributed many toys and sweets to the children.
Help also for the “Portul Sperantei Foundation” Barlad
Together with these aids for poor children from Vaslui county, our friends from the Netherlands also brought wheelchairs for the “Portul Sperantei” Foundation from Birlad. These wheelchairs will first be checked and then given free for use to people in need. In 2013, 736 chairs and their accessories were donated to the Portul Speranței Foundation in Bârlad. This donation being the third from the Emmaus Friesland Foundation.
Thursday morning I visited the villages of Crivesti and Vizureni.
Also here, many aids were distributed to the joy of poor people, and all kinds of delicacies were donated for the children. But not only children liked it. On this occasion, various goods offered by our charity Emmaus Friesland were delivered from the village of Bacani to the villages of Tunesti, Schitu and Satu Nou.
