The purpose of the Emmaus Friesland Association

The Emmaus Friesland Association’s main purpose of activity is to provide protection, help and support especially those in need with various objects, food, medicines as well as with other objects and materials for their use.

Also, the Emmaus Friesland Association undertakes activities of social assistance, psychological counseling, moral support and other activities and related projects of general interest.

Emmaus Friesland Association’s objectives

To achieve the purpose of the Emmaus Friesland association, we propose to achieve the following objectives:

• Informing and sensitizing the population about the needs and necessities of people in need;
• Providing protection, helping and supporting especially those in need with various objects, food, goods for their use and necessity;
• Psychological counseling and moral support, as well as other related activities and projects carried out by the Emmaus Friesland Association;
• Improving the livelihood of people in need of their families and the community they belong to;
• Prevention of situations of extreme poverty
• Collaboration with bodies, institutions, associations or natural persons, experts in related fields.

Activities developed by the Emmaus Friesland Association

In order to achieve the objectives, the Emmaus Friesland Association carries out the following types of activities:

• Development of socio-educational services for people in need;
• The development of own programs and in partnership with local public authorities, from the country and abroad, to help people in need;
• Counseling and initiation of projects to help people in need, through access to information, education, culture…;
• The organization of charitable actions to collect funds in order to achieve the purpose and objectives of the Emmaus Friesland association;
• Other activities stipulated by law.
